TRAI directs ISPs for Transparent Broadband Services

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in its directive released on 27th July 2012 directed Indian Internet Service Providers to provide broadband services in a transparent manner by providing sufficient information to subscribers regarding the pan tariff and Fair Usage Policy (FUP).
It also directed them to ensure that the minimum speed limits to which the subscribers are subscribed isn't breached.

The ISPs should also ensure that subscriber get SMS alerts when their data usage reach 80% and 100% in case of limited data usage plans.
